Clients outside Metro Atlanta ship their hats to us. Submit your request first — the atelier shipping address is confirmed with your request.
Packing
Five steps before you ship.

Choose a box with clearance
Use a box at least two inches larger than the hat on every side. A crushed brim in transit is the most common avoidable damage.
- 02
Support the crown
Loosely fill the crown with soft tissue or clean paper so it holds its height. Never fold, flatten, or compress the hat.
- 03
Protect the brim
Rest the hat crown-down and pack soft material around the brim edge so it cannot shift inside the box.

Include your details
Place a note inside with your name, email, mobile number, and your request reference so we can match the hat to your record immediately.

Seal and insure
Seal the box well and insure the shipment for the value of the hat. Third-party carrier loss, delay, or damage is not covered by The Hat Lab.
Return shipping
How your hat comes home.
Return shipping is calculated separately and is not included with restoration services. Your hat is returned boxed and protected, with documentation of the completed work.
Standard turnaround is approximately seven days after receipt and acceptance; complex restoration may require up to 14 days, plus transit time in both directions.
